    Indeed, ranged magical classes are stronger and have a huge advantage against melee classes, but you are exaggerating a bit. But yea, in the end a balance is needed between them.

    Of course, but making things harder will make you say is not ok for 2021 standards.


    Anyway as stated many times if we balance the contents we can add more contents that require better items.

    Well, we'll see how the future will be, but more players should make their opinions public, crying after an update because it don't fit their standards is not a solution.

    DSS bonus are hybrid. I mean except the class bonus any other bonus works in pvm so i don't see the issue or the need to change them.


    Yes, they are hybrid, but looks like they are not motivating PvM players enough to make them, they still prefer to use legendary super class because PvM it's easy.

    Not sure about the mythic super bonuses, i feel like it should be nerfed, most of those bonuses seem to be the same or slightly a buff.


    Nerfing them is a nice alternative too, but they should have also a PvM meaning, 75% + of players are PvM, without any intention to do PvP.

    I believe is fair to put the cards on the table, those who agree with your idea must also accept the fact that it is possible only if there is a complete wipe out of the system.


    Then it's useless, players will prefer to play alone than sacrifice their hard work for a better future.

    As for your last sentence, it is true is 2021 but this was born as hardcore server not as a fun server. Chaning its identity is simply not ok, as a matter of fact we are working on a server that fit that mentality. But we won't turn SG into that. It is not about the ego, never was.


    I am playing SG since 2012, so i know what "hardcore" means, but i analyzed the opinions of players and looks like it's too hardcore atm.

    Regarding the DSS, to change it we must delete it. There isn't a quick way to change the bonus of the stones since the old one would keep the bonus they have today. Make a poll, delete the system and make it better, see how many agrees, to me is few hour of works but its up to you guys what you prefer.


    It was just an idea to make ppl to say their opinion about DSS system, this was the real reason, not the change itself.

    As usual you guys don't listen to us when we say "lets wait a few days to see" cause, guess you know better, or maybe not.

    SG community!


    First of all, i am opening this thread because for many players the future of the server looks uncertain. Most of us waited the last update hoping to find a motivation to play, but it didn't happen yet (at least for me). I expected to see more players coming back or start, but the opposite seems to be happening. I don't want you to misunderstand me, i respect the staff work for the last update, they did a great job and i want to congratulate them for that. The point is, Metin2 is a 17 years old game, i'm not sure if teenagers will chose to play this game anymore with so many modern games and much more accessible which does not consume so much free time in a person's life. There are games where it is enough to be smart and have player skills while metin2 is a time consumer, you have to play a lot to keep up with the competition.

    Also, i have a request for the old players, let's forget the rivalry between us for a moment and let's work together for the good of the server; if your ego is more important than the future of the server i wish you "good luck" to play in a graveyard full of dreams. "The strategy" with "let's annoying our old enemies to make them come back in PvP" does not work anymore, some of us left kindergarten and get matured. So, if you are not smart enough to understand how important it is to work together for helping the server, you better keep your kindergarten mentality and don't comment (of course, constructive criticisms are welcome).

    I will leave my suggestions here and i am also wating your suggestions regarding the future of SG.


    1. DSS system

    I agree with Shadow and Elspeth, making mythic DSS wheel is an endgame thing and it shouldn't be that easy to make, but it is not necessary to do discriminations between PvP and PvM players, mythic DSS wheel is for everyone, not only for PvP players. Shadow is also right, it is not a necessity in PvM, but rather a fad, but this fad matters a lot for most of PvM players (75% + out of total number of players.)

    My suggestion regarding the DSS system is to remove the actually wheel boost and replacing it with two different wheel boosts (one PvP and one PvM). I think it's possible, we have two different options for DSS wheel (earth and sky). I wonder if a "switch" button can be created, then we can switch to earth or sky when we want. So, when you switch to "earth" DSS wheel you'll get a PvP boost and if you switch to "sky" DSS wheel you'll get a PvM boost. Maybe this will motivate PvM players who won't do PvP to make mythic wheel.

    PvP boost:

    - status points +10;

    - 5% skill resistance;

    - 5% avg resistance;

    - 5% skill damage;

    - 5% avg damage;

    - spell speed 5%;

    - 50 attack value;

    - 100 magical attack;

    - 2000 HP;

    - 5% demi human resistance;

    - 5% strong against demi human;

    - 3% block, dodge ;

    - 3% crit, pierce res;

    - +10 elemental damage;

    - +10 elemental resistance;


    PvM boost:

    - status points +10;

    - 5% strong against monsters;

    - 5% resistance against monsters;

    - 5% strong against bosses;

    - 5% avg damage;

    - 5% avg resistance;

    - 5% attack speed;

    - 50 attack value;

    - 2000 HP;

    - damage absorbed by hp 10%;

    - chance to restore hp 5%;

    - chance to faint 5%;

    - critical chance 5%;

    - pierce chance 5%;


    I still believe that the success rate of DSS should be slightly increased or add chance to drop rare DSS from monsters in runs (of course the chance of drop must be low considering there are a lot of monsters in a run).

    - rare dragon jade from some Orc Maze monsters;

    - rare dragon onyx from some Demon Tower monsters;

    - rare dragon ruby from some Hell Run monsters;

    - rare dragon diamond from some Nemere's run monsters;

    - rare dragon sapphire from some Ochao Run monsters;

    - rare dragon garnet from some Hydra Run monsters.


    2. Meley's run

    From my point of view, Meley's run should be the most profitable run from game. It is the hardest run from game, it requires teamwork, you need pro items, dss to kill there and the key is expensive. Also, i am 100% sure it should be the best place to farm if you want to make mythic super class DSS.

    My suggestion regarding Meley's run is to slightly increase the chance to drop mythic dss from boxes and also add chance to drop cor draconis (legendary) from some monsters (mythic drop or even harder, of course).

    Another idea is to make one of the boxes especially for upgrading dss and the other one especially for changing dss. For example:

    Dragon's Watcher Chest: cor draconis (mystical), 3x cor draconis (legendary), 1x change rare scroll, 5x enhance change scroll, 5x enhance scroll, master sash (basic), lord sash (basic);

    Queen's Meley Chest: DSS changer, DSS changer (B), ancient green pearl, ancient purple pearl, ancient yellow pearl, 3x white pearls, 3x blue pearls, 3x red pearls.


    3. Level 30-60 metins drop, daily rewards, premium pack 1 month (at least for some months)

    To motivate new players to start on the server, i believe that they should benefit of a lot of things when they start. Why not to give them premium pack 1 month instead premium pack 7 days? Also, let's make daily rewards better and exclusively for low level players (if you are level 60+ you won't get daily reward):

    1st day: chance to get costume/green potion (M)/auto-pots (M) red-blue/bravery capes;

    2nd day: chance to get leopard pill, hairstyle, green potion (M), auto-pots (M) red-blue, bravery capes;

    3rd day: chance to get dragon certificate/chocobo certificate/wind shoes;

    4th day: weapon skin;

    5th day: mount skin;

    6th day: pet;

    7th day: chance to get 3x red monocle (B), 3x quest potion (B), 10x exorcism scroll (B), 10x hermit advice (B).

    Another idea is to add gold bar (like it was at 115-120 metins) drop at lvl 30-60 metins (mythic drop), this will help new players a lot.


    I understand, you won't make the game easier because you are afraid that players will finish everything, weill get bored and will leave, but also keeping it hard is not an option, we are in 2021 and there are a lot of alternatives for games. If you don't take risks, you don't win. Let's really motivate players to come back or start here, let's give up at our ego and let's care about server, noone likes to play in an empty server.


    P.S. I will ignore off topic or useless comments, i don't want a playground for childrens to be created here, it is an important post and we have to take it seriously.

    4. Body Warrior

    Pro: 2 buff skills (Aura of sword - increases your attack power; Berserk - increases your attack and moving speed), 4 attack skills (Whrilwind - close-fight skill - good damage (+20% critical damage), average loading time, it's elemental damage is low, average casting time; Charge - close-fight skill - average damage, low loading time, it's elemental damage is low, low casting time; Shaolin Stance - close-fight skill - average damage, low loading time, it's elemental damage is average, average casting time; Thunder sword - close-fight skill - average damage, the highest loading time, it's elemental damage is low, high casting time).

    Body Warrior is a "hybrid" class, which do the highest damage with hits than any other classes. Also, combo + attack speed and style are crazy. If you want to get fun with hits + skills, body warrior is the class you need. I am not sure if it can compete in 1 vs 1 with ranged classes, but it may.

    Gameplay difficulty: average.


    Con: close-fight class (hard to fight against ranged classes).



    5. Weaponry Sura

    Pro: 3 buff skills (Enchanted Blade - increases your attack power + steal life from opponent, Fear - Increases chance to dodge arrow, Dark shield - increases defence + reflect physical attack), 3 attack skills (Let's start with the legendary REMOVE MAGIC - It removes your opponent buffs - it's the most powerful negative effect from game in my opinion, it have low normal and elemental damage, but the effect is just PRO; Rupture - close-fight skill - good damage (+20% critical damage), very low loading time, it's elemental damage is average, low casting time; Dark twister - close-fight skills - good damage, average loading time, it's elemental damage is average, low casting time).

    Weaponry Sura is a "hybrid" class, which do high damage with hits. Same as body warrior, if you want to play hits + skills, weaponry sura is the class you need (it don't have same combo + attack speed and style as warrior, but it have remove magic). It can compete with body warrior and archer assassin in 1 vs 1, it may also with dragon mage and black magic sura (thanks to remove magic).


    Gameplay difficulty: average.

    Con: close-fight class (hard to fight against ranged classes).


    6. Healing Mage

    Pro: ranged class, 3 buff skills (Cure - removes all negative effects, including remove magic + restores target HP - it's a very useful buff skill especially in raids; Dance with wind - increase moving speed, decrease loading time of skills, 5% skill damage; Natures Enchantment - Increases magic power - as i heard from healing mage users, it is not very useful), 3 attack skills (Thunder bolt - ranged skill - it have long range - good damage (+20% critical damage), average loading time, it's elemental damage is the highest, low casting time; Lightning claw - ranged skill - it have long range - average damage, low loading time, it's elemental damage is above average, average casting time; Lightning strike - ranged skill - it have long range - average damage, very low loading time, it's elemental damage is above average, average casting time). I can't give you additional informations about this class because i don't know so much, but i will tell you in the end of comment about someone who can.

    Gameplay difficulty: easy.

    Con: Natures Enchantment is not very useful.


    7. Dagger assassin

    Pro: 1 buff skill (Stealth - it makes you invisible, so you can escape from a fight when your HP is low, also it add bonus damage to Ghost attack skill and you can use 2 skills while you are invisible, so after you use first skill you are still hidden), 5 attack skills (Ghost attack - close-fight skill - good damage (+20% backstab damage), average loading time, it's elemental damage is low, low casting time; Fatal strike - ranged to close-fight skill - it have average action range - average damage, high loading time, it's elemental damage is low, average casting time; Spinning dagger - close-fight combo skill - average damage, high loading time, it apply poison effect to the opponent, it's elemental damage is low, average casting time; Poisonous cloud - ranged skill - it have average range - low damage, high loading time, it apply poison effect to the opponent, it's elemental damage is low, average casting time; Teleport strike - ranged to close-fight skill - it have average action range - low damage, high loading time, it's elemental damage is low, high casting time).

    Dagger assassin is also a "hybrid" class, you can play hits + skills thanks to it's combo + attack speed and style hits.

    Gameplay difficulty: hard.

    Con: It have low elemental damage in each skill and sometimes you can miss some skills. Also, you need to practice a lot with it and have patience, otherwise you'll give up fast; hard to fight against ranged classes but it can use bow, so it's "half ranged".



    And this is my top, i won't include Mental Warrior in this top because it's my PvP char and i want to avoid unnecessary comments about how i'm trying to improve the class i play. Anyway, Mental Warrior can be placed between 4th and 8th position, it is not in top 3 PvP chars. In other words, i will still say a few words about Mental Warrior.


    Mental Warrior

    Pro: 1 buff skill (Taichi - increases defence - decreseas moving speed - never fall back - second chance "revive with 25% HP"). I will explain a bit "second chance". I think it was supposed to help Mental Warrior in 1 vs 1 fights, after your HP reach 0, taichi is automatically disabled and you "revive" with 25% from your HP. This effect have 5 minutes cooldown. In big raids this effect is a bit annoying, while casting time it creates lag (same lag like when you was removed, before to fix it a bit), so in the most of cases you die instantly while casting time, because of that lag; 5 attack skills (Spirit strike - close-fight skill - high damage (+40% critical damage), average loading time, it's elemental damage is below average, high casting time; Tiger bash - close fight skill - good damage, average loading time, it's elemental damage is low, high casting time; Lion stomp - close-fight skill - average damage, high loading time, it's elemental damage is low, average casting time; Thunder wave - close-fight skill - average damage, high loading time, it's elemental damage is low, high casting time; Sword strike - ranged skill - low damage, high loading time, it's elemental damage is low, average casting time).

    Mental warrior is also a "hybrid" class, but i don't recommend playing like that, just play skill damage + cooldown.


    Gameplay difficulty: vey hard.

    Con: Lag caused by the casting time of Taichi, stiff class, casting time of skills. Same as dagger assassin, you need a lot of practice, otherwise you will never hit spirit strike, tiger bash or thunder wave in a fight. Mental warrior is exclusively for patient people, it have no chance in 1 vs 1 against ranged classes, even with "second chance", it can compete only with close-fight classes.


    Mental warrior is not very playful in this server, we have 0 active PvP mental warriors at this moment.

    First of all, DSS and S skills are a part of this game, so i will not exclude them from my opinion. Before to tell you my top PvP classes, we have to clarify some things about it:

    - A good class in PvP (1 vs 1 or raid), it's a class which have both type of skills (buffs - which can be passive or "active"; skills - which can be simple or with the application of a negative effect against the opponent);

    - When we talk about "The best skill" in PvP, we don't have to think about the skill that gives the most damage, it's totally wrong, there are a lot of things we have to keep in mind (Skill range, loading time, apply or not apply negative effect against the opponent, casting time and it's damage);

    - Also, there are classes based on skills and "hybrid" classes (hits + skills), depends of your tastes which type of class you want to play. I will tell you now the classes which can be named "hybrid": body warrior, sura weaponry, archer assassin, blade-fight assassin. The rest of them (both type of mage classes, mental warrior, black magic sura) can also use hits, but we can't compare them with those mentioned above (i am referring strictly to the way of classes hits - combo + attack speed and style);

    - Another aspect is the range of fight, there are ranged classes and close-fight classes. If you want to do 1 vs 1 too, i advice you to play a ranged class, at this moment a close-fight class has minimal chances of winning against a ranged class;

    - Basic elemental damage average for "active" skills is 1350 ((900 + 1800)/2);

    - Loading time average for skills is 18,5 seconds ((7 + 30)/2).


    I think i've clarified enough aspects, let's get to the top!


    1. Dragon Mage (as you said above)

    In my opinion, dragon mage is the most complete class at this moment. I simply can call it "the best class" in 1 vs 1 and raids, because it is.

    Pro: ranged class, 3 buff skills (one skill which increases critical chance, one skill which gives protection + 10% critical resistance, one skill which gives reflect damage + 10% critical damage in any source), 3 attack skills (Dragon roar - the best skill from game in my opinion, ranged skill - it have very long range, good damage, high loading time, it apply fire effect to the opponent, it's elemental damage is above average, low casting time; Inferno - ranged skill - it have average range, average damage, very low loading time, it apply fire effect to the opponent, it's elemental damage is above average, average casting time; Flying talisman - ranged skill - it have average range, average damage, very low loading time, it's elemental damage is above average, average casting time).

    That's why 30-40% from PvP players in metin2 SG are dragon mages and others wanna build a dragon mage or change the main for one.

    Gameplay difficulty: easy.

    Con: Sometimes, you can miss Inferno skill.



    2. Black Magic Sura

    Pro: ranged class, 1 buff skill (Aphotic shield - 40% damage reduction + defence - trust me mate, 40% damage reduction is a lot :P), 5 attack skills - 4 active, 1 passive (Dark orb - ranged skill - it have average range, good damage, high loading time, it's elemental damage is the highest, high casting time; Dark stike - ranged skill - it have average range, low damage, very low loading time, it's elemental damage is low, average casting time; Spirit entangle - ranged skill - it have average range, low damage, very low loading time, it apply slow effect to the opponent, it's elemental damage is average, average casting time; Flame strike - close-fight skill - average damage, low loading time, it's elemental damage is average, average casting time; Ritual of doom - close-fight passive skill, low damage, it apply fire effect to the opponent, it's elemental damage is very low, it have no loading time, low casting time).

    Gameplay difficulty: easy.

    Con: It's a ranged class, but it have 2 close-fight skills, so you have to stay close of your enemy.

    Black Magic Sura is in competition with Dragon Mage for the best 1 vs 1 class, but also it is good in raids.


    3. Archer Assassin

    Pro: ranged class, 1 buff skill (Swiftness - 105 moving speed + 5% skill damage), 5 attack skills (Flame Arrow - ranged skill - it have very long range, good damage, high loading time, it apply fire effect to the opponent, it's elemental damage is average, average casting time; Toxic Arrow - ranged skill - it have very long range, average damage, high loading time, it apply poison to the opponent, it's elemental damage is low, average casting time; Repetition shot

    - ranged skill - it have very long range, average damage, average loading time, it's elemental damage is very low, high casting time; Arrow shower - ranged skill - it have very long range, average damage, low loading time, it's elemental damage is average, average casting time; Poison beam - close-fight skill - average damage, average loading time, it apply poison effect to the opponent, it's elemental damage is average, average casting time).

    Archer assassin is one of the "hybrid" classes, so you can play hits + skills easy. It may compete with Dragon Mage and Black Magic Sura in 1 vs 1.

    Gameplay difficulty: average.

    Con: Skills casting time is high and it's a disadvantage, especially in raids.
