    Hey Guys,


    as always, lets start with the basics.


    What is Refine Plus?

    Refine Plus is our way to make the Upgrading System of Metin2, which is very basic and boring a little bit more exciting and flexible.

    While Upgrading in general is basically Gambling, it can be incredibly frustrating to fail an Item ten times in a row.

    Didn't we all have that "What would i give for 10% extra upp chance" thought once in a while?


    Well good news, on Metin2SG thats possible. The upgrade window will offer you to enable 3 extra Upgrade Items which will increase the upgrade chance by 2, 5 or 10% total.

    The first will increase it by 2%, the second by another 3% for a total of 5% and the last will increase it by another 5% to a total of 10%.

    However, it is only possible to select the Second Item, if you selected the first aswell. The same principle works with the third, you can only activate it when the first 2 are activated. If all 3 are active, a total of 10% Extra upgrade chance will be granted. This works in conjunction with items that increase the Upgrade chance on their own aswell. For Example a Master Compass increases the chance by +10% - Refine Plus increases it by another 10% for a whopping total of 20% increased upgrade chance to change a 25% Upp chance Poison Sword+8 to a significantly better 45%

    This System doesn't only work on Equipment, but also on Items such as Spirit Stones.

    Usually upgrading a Spirit Stone from +4 to +5 has a 25% Chance of Success and will cost you 2.000.000 Gold.

    [Or +3 to +4 having a 40% upgrade chance for 500.000 Gold]

    Adding a "Glyph Stone" will increase the Chance by 20% for a total of 45% Success Rate, it will however, also cost 2.500.000 Gold instead.

    [Or Increasing the 40% from +3 to +4 by 25% to reach 65% for 600.000 Gold]

    Ofcourse, there's a little way to trick that System by using the "Blue Dragon Breath", which will increase the upgrade chance to 80%, you may think that makes the "Glyph Stones" useless...

    However, adding both a "Blue Dragon Breath" and a "Glyph Stone" stone results in a 100% Success chance.

    1. Useful Commands

    /nopoly - As the name suggests, it removes your current poly.

    /cube make all - Yet again, as the name suggests, it allows you to craft all items you have in a crafting window at once.

    /set_r - This command allows you to set your character into running mode. When you are using a polymorph marble, some of them might not have a walking animation, using this command avoids that issue and sets you back into running mode

    /set_w - As above, this command allows you to set your character into walking mode.

    /dice - Lets you roll a dice

    /phase_select - this command allows you to go back to the character selection screen

    /quit - Allows you to close the Game

    /logout - Allows you to logout

    /mi - Shows the current ruling Kings/Queens



    2. Status Points and Class Changes

    As you may already know, Status points work a little bit different here.

    Every Class is able to gain Attack Value from their Main Attribute.

    Suras and Mages from Intelligence

    Warriors from Strength

    Assassins from Dexterity

    This doesnt mean that STR is useless for Suras, Mages and Assassins however.

    Suras and Mages gain a bit of Skill damage from Strength,

    While assasins gain the same from Strength as others gain from Dexterity. A little bit of Attack Value and Damage Reduction.


    On top of this, Assassins and Mages got a Bonus Strong vs Monster increase in order to be able to compete in PvM with the other classes.


    Aswell as the following change;


    • Dragon Mage's attack skills have a 15% boost if used with a Fan.
    • Healer Mage's attack skills have a 15% boost if used with a bell.


    3. Putting a value onto the less used Items

    In order to make sure that basic Items such as Spirit Stones +0 - +2 or Skill books never lose their entire Value, we gave them some Value at the NPC

    Since Spirit Stones +3 can be Upgraded at the "Seon-Pyeong" NPC, we did not increase their value as they naturally will have a higher value.


    • Skill Books are worth 70.000 Gold at any NPC
    • Spirit Stones+0 are worth 25.000 Gold at any NPC
    • Spirit Stones+1 are worth 50.000 Gold at any NPC
    • Spirit Stones+2 are worth 75.000 Gold at any NPC
    • Soul Stones are worth 200.000 Gold at any NPC
    • Bands of Oblivion are worth 100.000 Gold at any NPC


    4. Crafting NPC "Master"


    With a recent patch we introduced the "Master" NPC with the following craftable Items

    • 10 Piece of Stone -> Clam
    • 10 Red Magic Adder + 1 Vitality Ore -> 1 Red Magic Changer
    • 20 Red Magic Adder + 3 Devil's Splinter -> Blessing Marble
    • 12 Green Magic Adder + 1 Vitality Ore -> Green Magic Changer
    • 40 Green Magic Adder + 3 Orc Stubborness -> Blessing Marble
    • 50 Lion Certificate + 50 Tiger Certificate -> 1 Dragor Certificate
    • 50 Wolf Certificate + 50 Boar Certificate -> 1 Chocobo Certificate


    5. The "Powermount" System

    The Powermount System is a quite simple, yet effective System to use Mounts.

    Lets start with the Basics;


    Theres currently 3 different Levels of the Powermounts.

    • Young -> Can be used at any Level, can not be used to attack from or to use Horse Skills from
    • Wild -> Can be used at Level 35 when having a Level 11 "Armed Horse", can be used to attack from, can't be used for Horse Skills
    • Valiant -> Can be used at level 50 when having a Level 21 "Military Horse", can be used to attack and for Horse Skills

    In Order to Upgrade the Powermounts you wont only need to have reached those checkmarks in your game but you will also need some Items.

    Young Powermounts can be upgraded to Wild by using a "Scroll of Evolution" which can be acquired through the Moonlight chests or via the Item Mall

    Wild Powermounts can be upgraded to Valiant by using a "Scroll of Mutation" which can be acquired through the same means.

    Upgrading a Powermounts Level will not only unlock new abilities, but also increase its stats. More about this will be explained later.


    The Powermounts can be gained by using Certificates which are dropped by the Metin Stones, simply drag and drop them onto the Stable Boy.

    He will give you a Seal which will lasts for 7 Days.

    The Duration of this Seal can be increased by dragging Horse Medals on top of it (+1 Hour for each Medal) or dragging the Power Snack from our Item Mall on top of it (+7 Days for each Snack)


    The different Types of Powermounts are

    • Lion
    • Tiger
    • Wolf
    • Boar
    • Chocobo
    • Dragor


    While the Lion, Tiger, Wolf and Boar are exactly the same in all points [Except for the fact that due to its running Animation, the Lion is slightly faster], the Chocobo and the Dragor have triple the Attack Value, if they are on Valiant Level.


    The different Types of Stats a Powermount can offer


    Young

    • Young Powermounts will only show you what Maximum Stat it will grant you, once it is fully upgraded. It doesnt grant you any benefits ot her than being able to ride it.

    Wild

    • 3% Strong against Monsters
    • 3% Bonus Experience
    • Max HP. +250
    • Defence Value +50
    • Attack Value +30

    Valiant

    • 5% Strong against Monsters
    • 5% Bonus Experience
    • Max HP. +500
    • Defence Value +150
    • Attack Value +100

    As noted before, the Dragor and the Chocobo will make a small exception to these Stats.

    While they have exactly the same stats while on Wild Level, both, the Chocobo and the Dragor will give you Attack Value +300 instead of +100 when on Valiant Level.

    Monster, Experience, Defence, and HP Bonus are equal to the other mounts however.

    Chocobo's and Dragors can be acquired by crafting their certificates at the "Master" NPC or by gaining the Attack Value variant directly from the Coffer of Wisdom, which is the Reward of the OX Event.



    6. The "Belt" System

    The Belts will allow you to access the little Inventory which can be expanded clicking the arrow on the left top side of your normal Inventory. Different Belts give different stats and the higher the Belts level, the higher the amount of Inventory Slots unlocked.

    You can talk to "Yu-hwan" and have him craft your very own belts!

    "Yu-Hwan" is sadly not capeable of crafting the PvP Belts, which will be crafted by "Jae-Seon Kim", he will be a part of the "Dark Dragons Update".

    Belts can be upgraded like a normal Item to a maximum Level of+9, however, you can't add Stats to them.

    7. The "Soulbind" System

    With the Soulbind system any piece of equipment can be bound to your account. When the item is soul bound you can't:


    • Trade it with other players
    • Drop it on the floor
    • Sell it via private shop
    • Sell it to any NPC
    • Upgrade it
    • Roll bonus or remove stones

    Pay attention that you can lose the item via PKDROP, which means drop from having a negative rank from level 15 and onwards.

    You can bind [Scroll of Binding] or unbind [Scroll of Unbinding] the Item to yourself using the respectable Items which can be found at the General store.

    With this new system the bound item becomes virtualy immortal, even deleting the character won't work if there is a bound Item in its inventory

    You can still share the items with the other characters on the account using the Storekeeper.

    This Guide's thematic will be the Rarity System (implemented on 23/01/2015) how it works what it does and what its uses are.


    First, lets start with the Basics again.


    Theres 7 different Levels of Rarity which also includes 7 different colors which will be displayed if the Item is dropped on the ground.


    • Common - No extra stat(s)
    • Rare - Only has 1 stat which is always a low roll
    • Precious - Only has 1 stat which is always a mid roll
    • Mystic - Only has 1 stat which is always a max roll
    • Epic - Always has 2 stats which are never max rolls
    • Titanic - Always has 2 Stats which can't both be max rolls but has a chance to have a single max Roll
    • Legendary - Always has 2 Stats, has a chance to be double max roll.


    A little explanation how this System works.

    The stats base on a System with Points, the best example for this are the Titanic and the Legendary Items.

    While they can have the same Stats, the fact wether the first or second stat is high rolled determines the rarity grade.


    As an example,

    These Battle swords have the exact same rarity Stats: 3 Demi-Human and 8 Average Damage.

    However, the Titanic has the maxed out roll in its first stat and the low roll in the second stat

    While the Legendary has the low roll in the first stat and the maxed out roll in the second stat

    A maxed out first stat is worth less points, than a maxed out second stat.

    The Rarity grades base on a point System. Every stat is worth a certain amount of points which will be displayed below.

    Rarity items can be aquired through the same ways, common Items can be acquired

    • Dropping from Monsters, Metins and Bosses
    • Gaining them as a reward from a Chest
    • Crafting them at a NPC
    • Adding Rarity stats at the Rarity Alchemist

    Some ways might have higher chance of giving you a Rarity Item than others do, as for now the best example of that would be the Death Reaper and the Blue Death which both have Increased Rarity chance on their Boxes.


    Some general Information and FAQ regarding the Rarity


    • The Rarity stats are basically a 6th and/or 7th stat on an Item and aren't linked to the first 5. Therefore they can't be changed. switchers for those stats are not accessable, meaning once dropped the Item keeps the Rarity it has.
    • The Rarity System allows you to access stats which are usually not accessable via the normal stats such as Ice Res, Dark Res, Earth Res, Skill Res, Avg. Dmg. Res, HP Restore or AVG Dmg / Skill Dmg on Items which usually can't have those.
    • The Rarity Smith on the Demon Tower's 12th floor which appears after defeating the "Blue Death" works like a combination of a Blessing Scroll and the Demon Tower Smith. It requires your Character to be Level 80+, the Item to be max Lv. 60 and to be atleast "rare" or higher rarity. He wont upgrade any Common Items as his name suggests.
    • Rarity Items which are dropped on the ground will be displayed in their rarity grade's color, however, this does not work on chest items. If your Inventory is overflowing, you open a chest and the Item drops on the ground, it will always be displayed white so to be safe, pick it up and check for yourself.
    • Resist against Demi human is a pure PvP stat, it wont work against Monsters that are Demi Human
    • Avg. Dmg Resist and Skill Dmg. Resist works in both PvP and PvM. While skill res works mainly against Bosses, there is a few Monsters which deal Skill damage too.
    • Fire and Lightning Res used to be pure PvM/PvE stats, however, since we implemented the S skills, they can be used to block S-Skills with this Elemental Type.

    is it possible to add eggs to the basket after the egg drop ênded?

    Hey there,


    as long as you dont hit the Happy Easter button, it is.

    As soon as you click that button the Bunny will take your basket away and hand out the Rewards. [After the Event ended.]

    Duration of Skills increased by 50% Before blessing spell was 300sec and now is the same...


    Content of Mystery Box improved what have been channged ?


    Fixed the "NO_APPROPIATE_DEVICE" error that could appear in case of not supported resolutions Yesterday i still got that message

    Regarding those 3

    You can simply click CTRL + Rightclick on a mystery box to see what's been updated.

    The "NO_APPROPIATE_DEVICE" Problem has been fixed as good as possible, metin2 is still an old game that doesnt support new resolutions however.

    The Skill duration is increased by 50%, the Tooltip is not updated. It doesnt matter what the tooltip says and updating that is a lot of work for literally no reason.

    this item sitll say "0.01", need to fix it too.

    The drop rate was way below 0,01% - now its actually 0,01% so there's nothing to fix here.



    Unless I missed it somehow, why do blue changers drop from metins?

    • Adjusted the drops of Green and Red changers/adders and drop for high level metins
    • Corrected my wording here

    Grudge dmg seems the same to me;

    • Grudge Damage was only increased by a bit less than 50 total max AV, which doesnt make a gigantic difference if you already deal 10k.

    Why do hexagonal boxes drop in game right now?

    • As stated, they now drop from all Lv65+ Metins and have imrproved drops

    Anniversary boxes have wrong text with 8th anniversary of Global server :P

    • We are simply 7 years ahead in time

    with Todays maintenance the following things will be Updated


    • The pick up of items is as fast as you can collect.
    • The speed of the text of the quests or the npc is faster
    • Teleport Ring Cooldown reduced to 30 Seconds
    • Shops can now be opened outside of the Safezone
    • Third hand (Auto Gold Pickup) is now free and permanent for everyone
    • Mages and Assassins now have a standard 35% Monster bonus
    • Moonlight Chests now drop directly into your Inventory
    • Night Mode is now the standard mode and can be disabled via the System Options
    • A lot of Items are now stackable
    • Horse Missions 11-20 have a 100% success chance now
    • The linked items will appear in the language of your client and not in the language of the client of who sent it
    • From level 65 metins it is possible to drop Hexagonal Chest
    • From level 85 metins it is also possible to drop inventory key expansion
    • Horse Quest 1-11 Cooldown reduced to 1Hour
    • Adjusted the clam drop for level 80+
    • Adjusted the drop rate of Counterattack Strategy
    • New Red Wood forest is locked by a level 80+ teleporter, regens and numbers of metin are raised.
    • Added elemental resistances to several monsters
    • Changed the drop distribution. Dealing at least 60% of the total damage to a metin or a boss will grant every drops.
    • Fixed some spelling mistakes in the RO client
    • Fixed some bonus errors in the TR client
    • Herb drops were added to Heaven's Lair 1 + 2
    • PvP Pets, (Stats on)Costumes and Hairstyles have been exchanged for PvM.
    • Lord Gahnasel can now drop White Pearl, Blue Pearl, Red Pearl

    • Skill Books have a lower cooldown now (Reduced to 3-4 hours)
    • Biologist Chaegirab is working hard currently and now has a lower cooldown on all quests (Reduced to 4-6 hours)
    • Purple and Green Potions wont be used anymore if the effect is already active
    • New NPC "Master" added which will let you craft several Items
    • Rarity Items are now also obtainable through crafting and chests
    • Certificates can now stack properly
    • Upgrade Items for Refine+ can now stack (Devil's Splinter etc.)


    • Adjusted the attack range of the "Hateful Titan" Mob from Devils Catacomb (Had ranged attacks while being a Melee Mob)
    • Cor Draconis are now tradeable and can't be opened if you do not have the DSS Inventory
    • Added (M) Autopotions to the General Store
    • Better tooltip for the chests
    • Added the option to open 100 chests with a combination of buttons (check the tooltip ingame)
    • Skill books have 4 main colors depending on which class they belong to
    • Hevean's Lair I and II monsters gives now higher experience
    • Heaven's Lair II monsters are doubled
    • Grudge Sword Attack rate is now the same as Partisan

    • Fixed the "NO_APPROPIATE_DEVICE" error that could appear in case of not supported resolutions

    • Dragor / Chocobo Mounts added which, in case they have Attack Value as stat, will have 300 instead of 100 when fully upgraded


    The Extra Inventory

    • Cooldown for sorting reduced from 60s to 30s
    • Sorting now autostacks all Items
    • Sort by Vnum and Socket
    • Crafting with Extra Inventory fixed
    • Refining Ores with Extra Inventory fixed
    • Boxes that require keys can now be opened while inside the Extra Inventory
    • Quick sell fixed which didn't work with the Extra Inventory active
    • Core Crashes that were linked to the Extra Inventory fixed
    • Fixed a bug where you could trade the golds but not the items with a full spaced extra inventory


    The Shopsearch System

    • This System will allow you to search a Shops that have your Desired Items, more infos in the Screens below.

    You can search for Items you'd like to buy, however, you need atleast 4 letters in order to start a search.

    The System will not only mark the Shop and tell you its coordinates, but also let you buy via the System directly and/or send a Private Message to the seller.

    No matter of time, even if there are 10, 20 or 30 people in town it's still considered as "dead". A year back there were a lot more players no matter time.

    All i'm stating is that a screenshot from a town in the middle of the night does not prove anything either and that what he was stating is not correct.

    considering that you are taking a screenshot near midnight servertime, which is even later in the night for the entire eastern european and asian community wouldn't really set a high bar i suppose. I'm not going to deny that there arent a lot of PvP players but thats definitely not because of the things you named.

    Dear Community,


    As some of you may know I recently had my 1 year anniversary at 25th of march.

    This day marks the day where i realised its time to move on.

    One of my idols always says "what ever you do, you have to go all in." and thats exactly what i am going to do now while chasing my dream.

    It was a lovely time and i am very grateful that i was given this chance.

    Hey veleciraptor ,


    I completely disagree on that to be honest.

    Joining the Helpers, in my eyes, should be out of a passion for helping players and supporting them not because you want to be paid.

    I'm not saying Helpers dont deserve payment, if they do good work i see no problem in giving them an appropiate payment or similar but i dont believe that should be the main drive for a helper.

    So if someone asks in this Thread "how much is the payment" i personally have to say i dont believe he'd/she'd be fitting eitherway.


    As for the point of lowering your farming revenue by answering questions i disagree on that aswell.

    How do you lower your revenue when you just type like everyone else does aswell?

    Put a dot instead of a spacebar in your messages and you dont even need to stop hitting or simply use the autoattack to attack Metins you dont have to lower your efficiency by a lot, if atall.
